Schiphol and central Amsterdam
Schiphol airport massage for jet lag, in whichever direction you flew
A Schiphol airport massage for jet lag starts with a question about direction. Fly in from the west and the body wants to stay up late and sleep long; fly in from the east and it wants to sleep at dinner and wake at three. The same massage placed at the wrong hour does little. Placed at the right one, it can help you land properly before the next flight or the first meeting.

Jet lag
Two kinds of tiredness that look alike
Jet lag is not one thing. There is the heavy version, where the body is running behind the local clock and every limb feels as if it is being carried. And there is the wired version, where the body is running ahead, the mind refuses to shut down and lying in the dark only makes it worse. Both arrive at Schiphol on the same morning flights, and both describe themselves in a first message as tired. The reply will usually ask which one it is, because the answer changes the format and the hour.
Schiphol airport massage for jet lag after flying east
Arrivals from the Americas land in the morning with a body that thinks it is the middle of the night. The temptation is to sleep straight away, and the price of that is waking at four the next morning with the whole day still ahead. The useful booking here is in the early evening, after a day spent upright and in daylight: ninety minutes of slow sensual massage around seven or eight, placed so that sleep arrives at something close to a local hour. It is not a cure. It is a push in the right direction on the night that decides how the rest of the trip feels.
Flying west, and the three in the morning problem
Arrivals from Asia and the Gulf land early with a body that believes it is afternoon. The first evening feels manageable; the problem comes at three or four the next morning, when the guest is wide awake and nothing in the room will change that. This is where tantra massage earns its place. It is slow and breath-led, it works with the alertness rather than trying to smother it, and ninety minutes of it in the small hours is often what finally lets a traveller sleep until breakfast. It is booked at those hours without comment.
When the connection leaves no room for adjusting
Not every traveller stays long enough to adjust. A transit passenger with a long-haul flight in, a medium-haul flight out and a room for the hours between is not trying to reset his clock. He is trying to arrive at the next destination less wrecked than he left the last one. For him the aim is simpler: a session that removes the stiffness of the first flight and makes the second one tolerable. One hour or ninety minutes of oil work, followed by a real sleep in the room, is the usual answer, placed wherever the layover allows.
What jet lag does to judgement, and how the booking allows for it
A traveller twenty hours into a journey is not thinking clearly. Times get misread, time zones get confused, and the hour on a phone that has not switched zones is taken as local. The booking is set up to catch this. Every start is written in Amsterdam time in the reply and repeated back before anything is fixed, and if a departure time looks odd against the hour you asked for, the reply will say so. It is not an insult to your competence; it is the ordinary precaution for somebody whose body is in another hemisphere.
Length, and the temptation to book too much
Exhausted guests sometimes book three hours on the theory that more rest is better. After a long-haul flight that is usually a mistake, because the body falls asleep in the first hour and the rest of the booked time runs on regardless. Ninety minutes is the length that suits jet lag in both directions: enough to settle properly, short enough to end while you are still awake to notice. The exception is the traveller who knows the night is lost either way, for whom the eight hour overnight at EUR 1,250 is often a calmer choice than stacking short sessions.
Water, food and the hour before she arrives
Long flights dehydrate, and a massage on a dehydrated body is less comfortable than it should be. Drink properly in the hour before she knocks, eat something light, and take the shower before she arrives rather than after, so that the end of the session can run straight into sleep. Turn the room's heating up a little; airport hotels are often kept cool, and a cold room works against everything the session is trying to do. None of this is complicated. It is simply the part of the booking only you can do.
The figures, the deposit and the airport rule
The figures run from EUR 180 for sixty minutes through EUR 270 for ninety and EUR 360 for two hours to EUR 540 for three, with the overnight at EUR 1,250, all taxes included. Every booking at a Schiphol or airport hotel address is confirmed with half the fee, by card, Revolut, Wise or crypto, once the hour and her journey out have been agreed. What remains is handed over when she arrives. In central Amsterdam, a returning guest asking for an hour or two the same day pays everything on arrival, but at the airport the deposit always applies. The questions page covers the rest.
Writing when you cannot think in straight lines
Keep the first message short: the hotel, the hour you want in local time, the length, and one word on the state you are in, heavy or wired. If English is tiring by now, say which language would be easier; several women on the roster speak French, Russian or Spanish, and a few speak rarer ones. The reply will do the thinking the flight has made difficult, and nothing is fixed until you have read it and agreed.
