What matters to the booking is that the room is yours, that it has a bed and a shower, and that you know when you have to hand it back. Why the journey out is agreed before anything else

In central Amsterdam the arrival figure is forty to sixty minutes from a confirmed booking. The airport side does not run on that figure. A hotel at Schiphol, Schiphol-Rijk or Schiphol-Oost is further from where the roster lives, and the time it takes her to reach it depends on the hour and the address. When the inbound flight is late

A layover booking is built on two flight times, and the first one is the one that moves. If your inbound is delayed, tell the thread the moment the board changes. With more than twenty-four hours to go before the booked time, a cancellation costs nothing and the whole deposit comes back. Cancel inside the final day while she is still at home, and the house keeps half the deposit as fee it has already earned and returns the other half. Once she is on her way, the deposit is kept. If another guest takes the hour you gave up, the deposit is repaid in full. The rule is the same whether the delay was the airline's or yours, because the time was held either way.

Leaving on time, which is the whole point
